Elements and Performance Criteria

  1. Conduct pre-deployment preparations
  2. Identify, analyse and record deployment information to aid planning
  3. Select, source and check tools and equipment consistent with response plan and Work, Health and Safety (WHS)/Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements
  4. Document and provide information to the incident management team, in accordance with organisational procedures
  5. Conduct onsite assessment
  6. Complete and record onsite assessment of oiled shoreline incident zone
  7. Communicate assessment information to shoreline coordinator to assist in the management of the response
  8. Plan and monitor response
  9. Identify and communicate specific duties and responsibilities to response team
  10. Plan and communicate daily objectives and priorities to the response team
  11. Monitor incident and modify response plan based on response team reports and ongoing oiling of shoreline
